"When a tradition breaks, a new stage begins. This is something that has happened with music, architecture, art, dance, literature, etc. However, when traditions get together cultures and towns are made stronger. This is exactly what happened with Jeremy Berkman's magic and talent in Elementos (Zapateado Flamenco), that he brought a musical surprise with his trombone and made it sound like a gipsy wail from the Andalusian's flamenco art.
I am immensely happy to have had this beautiful opportunity and compose music for Jeremy. He has made the piece his and has broken the barriers of the folklore and contemporary music. Finally, I would also like to mention Sydney's virtuosity, which blends perfectly all these 'Elementos' as part of Turning Point Ensemble's project.
